Mickey the Cat (July 12th, 2010 - May 30th 2023), had a keen sense for life. With admirable grace and demeanor, we shared the trials and tribulations of 3 years, 3 apartments, 4 jobs and a global pandemic. Anyone who met her was in great company.

Looking into her eyes, I used to suspect she knew everything past, present and future, intervening only when she needed to. Otherwise she watched the world’s drama go by. She was an example to me of how to live life, hold complexity and live within my borders, unphased and unencumbered.

This piece preserves her dignity and unwavering composure. I wouldn’t sell it for a million dollars.
